Local company survives disaster, highlighted in national magazine
A Dayton-based company is the focus of an article in the April edition of Black Enterprise magazine.
Sean E. and Shawntay Fields’ company Comtactics is highlighted in an article called “Staring Down Disaster.”
The Englewood couples’ marketing and Internet solutions firm finished 2008 with $540,000 and moved into a larger, newly renovated office, the magazine said.
Then the business flooded.
“We had spent several days painting and putting up wallpaper,” Sean Fields told the magazine. “Two days later I walked into our office and standing water and ceiling leaks were everywhere.”
The article discusses how the company survived the disaster.

Body Snake for people who don’t like to move in the shower
It’s like we are living in the future.
The day has finally come that you can take a shower with little to no movement.
The Body Snake might be crazy enough to dethrone the Snuggie as the most ridiculous “ As Seen on TV” product on the market.
The handcrafted, intestine-shaped flexible foam mesh is apparently for people who either can’t bother taking a shower like the rest of us or are tripped up by “scrubbers and brushes that just don’t work.”
Yippee!
“No more fumbling and stumbling in the shower,” the commercial promises.
The offer also includes a Foot Scrubber.
“This amazing foot scrubber cleans and scrubs your entire foot without ever having to bend over,” the commercial says. “Guaranteed.”
It retails for $24.95 plus shipping and handling.
