Bushy eyebrow Scottish frump wows Simon Cowell, Demi Moore, YouTube
A homely 47-year-old Scottish cat lady proved why you can’t judge a book by its cover on an episode of “Britain’s Got Talent” aired Saturday, April 11.
Susan Boyle, a contestant on the Simon Cowell judged show,” made the cynics bit their tongues with her stirring rendition of “I Dreamed a Dream” from the musical “Les Miserables.”
Actress Demi Moore and Entertainment Weekly magazine are among those sing praises for the unemployed woman with the bushy eyebrows and wonderful voice.
Cowell smiled from ear to ear as Boyle sang.
The studio audience and his co-judge, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan, gave the jolly woman a standing ovation.
The performance has quickly become a tear-jerking You Tube hit.

SCULPTURES RETURN TO TROY
From Meredith Moss, Staff Writer
If you’ve never visit Troy’s Sculptures on the Square, you’re missing something special.
It’s a great family outing: the kids will love it too.
It’s fun to visit the little town for lunch or dinner, then walk the square.
Past exhibits have featured the sculptures of J. Seward Johnson and fiberglass WACO planes painted by local artists.
This time around, the work will be from a variety of sculptors representing an assortment of different artistic approaches including wildlife, modern, historical, whimsical and classic sculptures of bronze, metal, wood and concrete.
The exhibit kicks off May 4 and will last through Sept. 20.
In addition to the outdoor exhibit, the Troy Hayner Cultural Center will also host a small indoor exhibit.
