Price of Centerville’s ‘torso auction’ drops to free
Now you can get into a ‘torso’ auction free of charge.
Heart of Centerville organizers have dropped the $35 admission price to the “Bodies in the Heart” silent auction.
The event featuring drink, food and music 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 20, is now free.
It will be held at Miami Valley South Health Center., 2400 Miami Valley Dr., Centerville.
Proceeds will benefit Premier Health Network.
Centerville businesses and artists decorated and designed female torso replicas for the Heart of Centerville’s May 15th summer kick off.
Bodies in the Heart sculptures are on display at Visceral Gallery, 65. W. Franklin Street, another Centerville businesses.

Think your house is small? Man lives in a closet
Think you live in tight quarters? This dude lives in the closet.
Sergio Santos of Delray Beach, Fla. grew tired of expensive rent and moved into a 77 square feet “apartment,” according to WPTV Channel 5 in West Palm Beach.
Santos pays $150 for the apartment equipped with a small microwave and mini- refrigerator.
Santos is happy with his closet now, but admitted that in the past, he questioned his decision.
Much of the apartment is made of recycled materials.
This “is all about saving; it’s about recycling; it’s about optimizing my time,” Santos told the TV station.

Dayton TV station named top affiliate in the nation
A local TV station three-peated its award winning ways and was given a shout out on a national morning show.
WBDT-TV was named the number one CW affiliate in the nation at a recent reception in New York.
It bested 208 other CW affiliates and was the highest rated station in each of 11 demographics the network measures.
The Daily Buzz’s Orlando-based crew congratulated the local station for its accomplishments.

The Daily Buzz has strong connections to Dayton. It launched here in 2002 when WBDT-TV was an WB affiliate.
The CW is a joint merger between CBS and Warner Brothers.
The Dayton station has been the CW’s number one affiliate each of the three years since the network was launched.
WBDT-TV also received the network’s Model For Success award given to the the ideal station as it concerns branding, programming, community partnerships and promotion.
