Boonshoft meerkats’ get ‘M’ names
The Boonshoft Museum of Discovery’s meerkats are nameless no more.
The new zoo’s animals were named Millie, Maggie, Marley and Mick by Neil and Reid Ammer, ages 5 and 7, of Dayton.
Neil and Reid’s idea to give the playful animals “M” names were among 232 suggestions made online and in person at the museum.
The “mob” of Meerkats - two boys and two girls - arrived at the museum in September.
For this winning submission, Neil and Reid will have their names added to signs next to the meerkat enclosure.
They and their parents Amanda and Bryan will receive a behind-the-scenes tour of the new zoo.

I was hoping for Monica after my ex-wife. She kinda looks like a meerkat.
