Musical about “Jeresy Boys” expected to draw 50,000 downtown
Organizers have hopes for “Jersey Boys.”
Ken Neufeld , president & CEO of Victoria Theatre Association, told a crowd invited to a local promotion party Tuesday for the musical that “Jeresy Boys” is expected to attract 50,000 people and be an economic boost for area merchants.
The 2006 Tony Award-winning Best Musical tells the rags-to-riches story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. It will be staged at the Schuster Center from Jan. 17-Feb. 5.
General-admission tickets don’t go on sales until Sept. 8, but group and subscriber sales have begun.

Salon offers discounted hair cuts to help school’s staff
Getting beautiful can help a school.
Stivers School for the Arts’ Seedling Foundation has teamed up with Square One Salon and Spa for “Cuts for a Cause.”
The salon’s downtown Dayton location, 506 Third St., is offering a hair cut, shampoo and style for $25 on Sunday, May 15.
That $25 will be used to help pay the salary for the school’s adjunct staff.
A cut and style at Square One normally costs $35 to $49.
The Seedling Foundation’s mission is to support arts and academic programs at the school.
