Area grad pushes line of ‘naughty’ aprons
Sidney native Annette Anderson has an apron for you and you don’t even have to cook.
The University of Toledo grad launched her flirty apron shop, kitchenthreadz.com, in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, two years ago.
She customizes one-of-a-kind aprons with everything from jewels to lace to leopard vinyl fabric.
One of her latest designs pays tribute to former Cleveland Cavalier LeBron James, now a member of the Miami Heat.
The Ode to LeBron is a saucy little number featuring flames.
Anderson, a 1973 Sidney High School graduate and former marketer, learned how to sew from 4-H and her mother, Helen Anderson, still currently a Sidney resident.
Her more practical Thrifty Threadz line starts at $90. The couture-looking Top Threadz line starts at about $150.
Anderson said the aprons can be used while cooking or entertaining guests.
“They are quite the conversation pieces,” she said.
