Barstool golf tournament celebrates 10 years
The Oregon District’s Barstool Open will celebrate 10 years of nine holes Saturday, Nov. 12.
The nine bar, miniature golf tournament benefits United Rehabilitation Services of Greater Dayton (URS).
The event starts at 11:30 a.m. Participating bars are Blind Bob’s, Dublin Pub, Ned Peppers, Newcom’s, Oregon Express, Pulse Nite Club, Trolley Stop, Tumbleweed and Wiley’s Comedy Club.
Each venue creates a miniature golf hole. There are raffles and prizes are awarded for the most creative costumes and best team score.
The entry fee is $40 per person or $160 per team before Nov. 11. It is $45 per person and $180 per team the day of the event. Visit www.ursdayton.org/barstoolopen.html for the registration form and event details. Registration is also available at participating bars.
Money raised will be used for URS’ comprehensive services. The agency supports 4,000 local children and adults with disabilities annually.

TweetMustached riders to hit downtown Dayton
Here’s your opportunity to live out your mustache bike riding dreams. The Dayton Movember Mustache Ride to benefit men’s cancer awareness and research is 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. during downtown Dayton’s First Friday.
It launches at Fifth Third Field, 220 N Patterson Boulevard, and will have bikers ride through downtown. There will be handlebars in more than one way.
The ride will wrap up with a party at Brixx Ice Company. Click here to find Mo Fro, the local team.
First Friday is a free art hop 5 to 10 p.m. at several downtown locations.
There will be live music and holiday shopping. Dayton Visual Art Center’s ARTtoBUY Holiday Gift Gallery and Cannery Art & Design Center’s “Live Art, Give Art” will be open. Visit www.downtowndayton.org for more information.
