New donut shop has ribbon-cutting event tomorrow morning
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 13 at the new Lynn’s Daylight Donuts, 4680 Wilmington Pike in south Kettering.
The doughnut shop is owned by Greg and Sheryl Cox of Wilmington. The couple had been looking for a good location for more than a year before settling on the south Kettering location at Wilmington Pike and Swigart Road, Sheryl Cox said today, June 12.
Lynn’s Daylight Donuts offers muffins, breakfast sandwiches and coffee as well as a full array of donuts.
The shop is open Tuesday through Thursday 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Friday 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 6 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. It is closed Mondays. For more information, call (937) 298-1333.

at least this person opening this place is offering a few jobs, that helps the economy. But instead we find a comment section full of Daytons’ brightest bulbs in the package.

Jim’s in Vandalia and Bill’s in C-ville are the best place to get belly bloaters in the area. Young’s Dairy is pretty good too, but a little far to drive.

I applaud Lynn’s and the location os close to the east Centerville / S. Kettering area. I’ll stop by for sure and help support the local, independent. Remember how many local donut shops here were before every gas station sold chain donuts? Thanks Lynn’s and best of luck!

Just tried Lynn’s the other morning and had a glazed donut and one called a pinecone donut and both were pretty good. We need more good independent donut and breakfast shops in dayton.

Lynn’s deserves our business. Bill’s is the best. Jim’s is not close for many, but they are fine donuts. And is open 24 hours, too. Happy now Sam and Jeff.

My favorite doughnuts are Jims, followed by Dunkin. However, I think we have plenty of room for Lynn. Plus - anything is better than Krispy

You don’t have to have it, Jeff. There’s plenty of room for more than one donut shop. By the time I head north to Jim’s, and back, the donuts will already be starting to turn. This is much, much better for many.
