New restaurant coming to Arcade Square
A new restaurant to be called the International Food Court is scheduled to open in about two weeks at 44 W. Third St. in downtown Dayton, in the location adjacent to The Arcade that formerly housed the Mandarin Kitchen, co-owner and manager Eriq Lawless said this morning.
Lawless, who lives near Columbus, said he and executive chef Andrew Berczelly of Dayton plan to open the 5,000-square-foot dining room and buffet between Nov. 29 and Dec. 1. The restaurant seats 250 and will be open for lunch only — 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekdays, Lawless said.
The restaurant will offer a grilled pita and sandwich bar and a soup and salad bar, as well as an international food bar with rotating daily specials that will include themes such as Italian, Tex-Mex and American. The menu also will include dishes such as Cajun fried fish and chicken and shrimp.
Lawless said he and Berczelly have served at several Dayton-area festivals and “wanted to bring something diverse” to downtown Dayton.
