L’Auberge reaches into past to make lunchtime fashionable
KETTERING — L’Auberge restaurant, 4120 Far Hills Ave., has launched “Signature Wednesdays” that combine lunch with an informal fashion show, according to l’Auberge owner Josesph Reif.
Reif calls it “the reinvention of ladies lunch” and said it’s a throwback to the 1970s, when grand restaurants had stylish fashion shows over lunch. The shows at l’Auberge will showcase spring fashions in the main dining room. Rather than serving the quiche, crepes and chicken pot pie of previous decades, l’Auberge will serve sushi, seafood, sandwiches and soups in addition to its regular lunch menu. Lunch prices range from $9 to $14.
Boutiques and clothing shops to be spotlighted include Secret Ingredient on April 20, Elan on April 27 and Get Dressed on May 4. Shows start at noon. For reservations or more information, call l’Auberge at (937) 299-5536.
