blog: UD-Xavier — Taunts and a Near-Tussle
As the Dayton-Xavier game tipped off Thursday night, the Muskies students section became the Hall of Presidents. To taunt the Flyers — who haven’t won in Cincinnati since January, 1981 when Jimmy Carter was president — the X fans are holding up big color posters of all six U.S. presidents who have been in office since Dayton last won here.
And the ill will between players continues. London Warren and the injured Devin Searcy — crutch and all - had a nose-to-nose on-court confrontation with Terrell Holloway and C.J.. Anderson an hour before the game. After the national anthem the two teams didn’t shake hands, though the coaches did. Nor did they starting players shake hands just before the tip.

Well well well…what do you know? DDN is reporting that London Warren started the pre-game incident at Cintas Center. Then he couldn’t back up his sh!t on the court. London = punk Flyers = owned by X In other news, sun rises in east.

Yet again, the Cryers are crushed by Xavier in Cincinnati. You can’t win here. [Repeat 24 times+]

Classy?? It’s the same with UD fans every year. They get schooled at X and then cry and whine and pout and pull the “classy” card. Pretty classy when Wright was dancing on the scorers table at UD. Classy how Warren and your crutch holding center start the trash talking. UD Cryers. Every year. Same thing. Grow up and take your loss like a real team. 3 titles in a row. 24 straight. Nice black jerserys though…what a joke.

Dayton played ok. X is as ghetto as the old UC teams. We’ve split with xavier. they’re 18th in the nation. they should have beat us twice. they didn’t.

Oh well. UD lost, as many expected. Won’t affect us much. We’re still going to the dance and have a good record and team. I’m just happy that we showed class there and at UD Arena. I’ve never ever heard or seen of such classlessness of that shown by the Xavier players before the game. Walking away from the visiting team when they come to shake your hands? Pathetic. That is representative of the coach and the school. I was glad to hear the ESPN commentators call them out on it, too. Nice one, X.

The only point I have to make is this; Anyone, under any circumstance, good or bad, that posts messages bad mouthing another team or another team’s fans on a internet board is an idiot, and not a fan. Talking trash is for people whose life is lonely and unsatisfying. That goes for both UD and X fans. Rules for being a fan. Follow your team in times of good and bad (Bengals fans!), root for your team, don’t talk trash, enjoy the game, and tell anyone that talks trash on a message board a childish idiot. Enjoy your XBox tonight.

Another pathetic performance out of Huelsman. No points, a bunch of fouls early to limit his playing time. He really had his chance to step up with Searcy out. As far as Wright’s performance, he has a long, long long way to go to be considered pro material. Too many wild shots, stupid fouls that also limited his playing time. I would nor be surprises if they lost their last home game to Duquesne. I hope they get in to the NCAA tournament but, they actually deserve the NIT

I like how one smart mouthed kid on this comment section posts multiple comments against UD under different names. You are such a tool “Wowsers”. Kurt Huelsman should never play another minute as a basketball player. I’ve seen 8th grade girls with more energy and fight in them on a basketball court. Nothing like a 6’10” pansy shooting fadeaways and hitting the front of the rim.

UD was so pathetic tonight. I thought UD performance was pitiful. I hope Brian Gregory asks Sean Miller for that rock because UD took a BEAT DOWN!

I liked the new uniforms. Not all the time but maybe a couple times a year. Like them better than the baby blue from last year.

Hilarious XU students! Dayton should worry about winning and not the XU students!Whats “classy” is showing up to someone elses home court in “statement (black)uni’s!” Wearing Black to your own funeral, now thats funny!
