alex, you are lucky to live in an area that has lots of wine tastings and also wine classes, all of which should be posted here. I found that taking classes make a big difference in jump starting my wine experience. Cuvee, DLM, and others offer wine classes and if you are really interested, ask your favorite wine store. The store might just offer a class. Just the opportunity to taste wines in the Dayton area is a learning experience in itself. And if you find out about wine classes, not posted, please let me know. :)

hi, mark. i’m stupid. i’ve been drinking cheap beer by the pint all of my life and know nothing about wine or even grapes. how would i go about learning more so that i won’t look stupid when my friends sit around talking about wine? burp.
