Hey Buckeye Fans: What Wine Goes Best with Irish Stew?

I’m thinking something red … yeah, red, that’s the ticket … something that is almost scarlet in the glass … now wouldn’t that be delicious!

You?

Happy New Year, enjoy the Fiesta Bowl, and Go Bucks!

POSTGAME ADDENDUM: I think I found the PERFECT libation for this game: a “Ginn” and tonic!

Slurp, Slurp. Mmmmmmmm….

Cheers!

Hi there. I’m new here to Ohio and just found your wine site, really neat! I come from a big wine region on the other coast, lol. As for a wine with Irish Stew, I too agree with your choice of a red. Might I suggest a Cote-du-Rhone. Nice spice and jammy flavors with enough body to stand up to the stew without over powering the meal. Good before your stew and with your stew. How about some thing a little bit sweeter for after dinner to complement the slightly salty character of the stew? Thanks, Cory.
