Holiday cheer, in the form of wine tastings and special restaurant events
The holidays have prompted some local wine shops and grocers to cancel some of their regularly scheduled tastings (sigh — so now we wine lovers are chopped liver?), but there are still plenty enough events to help us ring in the holidays in style. And we bring them to you courtesy of the Dayton-based wine listserv that compiles this impressive list.
Also, in today’s Go section, we published a great list of restaurants and their special holiday events and hours, including both Christmas and New Year’s.
Dayton-area restaurants — and wine shops — have certainly given us every opportunity to celebrate the holidays in style!

Mark: It’s too bad that I’m down here in Jacksonville, Florida in this 80 degree weather, or I could enjoy these wine events up north in Dayton in the 20 degree weather :-). Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
