Cheating gov. says he’ll ‘try’ to fall in love with wife again
South Carolina’s disappearing governor now says his Argentine mistress is his soul mate, but has given his wife an offer she couldn’t possibly refuse.
Sanford says he is giving up his mistress and is going to work to try to fall back into love with his wife.
Certainly she will appreciate his efforts. Because falling in love is about work.
Additionally, the allegedly repentant-working-on-his-marriage Sanford told The Associated Press that he “crossed lines” with a handful of other women during 20 years of marriage.
His marriage with his wife, Jenny is his own business. But it’s too bad HE keeps talking about it. And awkwardly at that.
On the one hand, he wants to save his marriage.
In the same interview he says of his mistress, “This was a whole lot more than a simple affair, this was a love story. A forbidden one, a tragic one, but a love story at the end of the day.”
Seems he has some work to do on focusing on the marriage.

Governor Sanford - you are toast. Please resign and spare us all your sniveling press conferences. Airing your dirty laundry is so last century. Think with the big head and not the little one you moron.

I just sincerely hope that this pos’ wife leaves him and doesn’t give him the chance to “fall back in love with her”. She deserves better and he deserves nothing!

Geez, what a difference a decade makes. If the Republicans were in charge of Congress we’d have a $60 million investigation. OOOOOPS! This IS a Repbulican … never mind!

So he is planning to “try” to fall in love with his wife again. But on the other hand his Argentine mistress is his soul mate? What kind of bull——is that!! If his wife gives him a second or who knows what number since their were apparently more than one another chance she is a fool. He deserves to lose everything he has.

As human beings we are designed to make mistakes. This is no mistake, this is a very poor choice. This is a glimpse of this man’s and various woman’s value systems, which are apparently in deep trouble. This man is a elected official, he represents the people. He needs to resign, and be replaced with another. A person with better values and morals. A person who represents the people who voted for him/her. To apologize for poor choices is a given, especially when others are at stake. That is not to say that the mistake will or can be forgiven/forgotten. Mistakes, when they happen should be very brief, not to be repeated, but to be learned from as a heightened awareness. Everything we do in our life is a stamp on our soul representing who and what we are. I for one would like better representation.

I would tell Mr. Govenor to go to hell. Try????? You either do or you don’t. Let him go and have his little girlfriend and take him for everything he has got.

Dolt needs to keep his mouth and his fly shut. What’s he hope to gain by telling the world all this stuff? Wife should have left him yesterday. Staying for the kids is way wrong in this situation - he’s certainly no role model.

Hey Walt - we don’t need to waste taxpayer $ on an investigation because this guy admitted his wrong-doing. He knows what ‘sexual relations’ means, unlike Clinton. The Gov is slime, and this fact is non-political…get a clue.

Given some of the statements this guy has made, he is a total wreck. Why doesn’t he just stop talking about it? And to think the Republicans thought he was potential 2012 candidate.

The governor is obviously not thinking clearly. This is what happens when a person falls in love. We try to make it so wonderful here in the West, but it’s all nature’s way of faking you out to think you can’t live without someone. He’s in that state. It’s not normal, and he just needs to have a friend advise him to be quiet for about 6 months. Let his wife give him the choice (after he’s regained his sanity) and IF she wants the marriage to last to stay or not. Not a single one of the parties involved should be making any big decisions until everyone calms down. (But he should resign, so he won’t be in the position of making big decisions for the state.)
