Omarosa to enter seminary in Dayton
Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, one of the most notorious villains in reality TV history is entering United Theological Seminary in Dayton on Monday, Aug. 17.
Stallworth will pursue a doctor of ministry, which will take about two years to complete, said Ivan Hicks, UTC associate dean for African-American studies.
“She has expressed a calling in her life and it is our opportunity to provide leadership and guidance as she makes a transformation,” Hicks said. “We’re excited about her coming to school at UTS.”
Stallworth is known for in-your-face roles on “The Apprentice,” “The Celebrity Apprentice” and “The Surreal Life.”
But Hicks knows her from his home church, The Metropolitan Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. He said she has worked on issues involving the homeless and the poor in Haiti.
“She certainly has a heart for ministry,” Hicks said.
Stallworth received her undergraduate degree from Central State University.
Hicks said the fact that Stallworth’s had her ups and downs will help make her a good minister.
“Some of the good things and bad things we’ve done in our lives help us to actually relate and to be more widely accepted as a minister,” he said.

She is a perfect person to preach to you. I will follow my own calling. She is not my kind, I prefer honest people to preach to me. She is a cheat.

Doug: What are you are? An Idiot? There is no such thing as an honest person. Some people may have stopped lying, but everyone has. For the record I have no idea of who she is nor do I care,

I am so happy for Omarosa. Don’t hate…embrace! She is making a positive step in the right direction. God’s plans for our lives are far greater than ours!

Wouldn’t they have to perform an excorcism first ? …now that is something I would like to see on TV, a forced excorcism on Omarosa.

Hmmmmm. I wonder how many people criticizing Omarosa, have also done the amount of work she has with the homeless and poor. Lighten up… anyone can change. That she is now doing things to help people in need should be applauded.

For Jeff- I’ve voluntered COUNTLESS hours for MANY charitable causes. Poor, homeless, veteran programs, etc… With that in mind, I CAN say big deal about this woman doing anything. She’s a media hound. ANYTHING to get her ugly face/name in the paper. Want to hear bigger news? My hemorrhoids are killing me! ;)

It takes a lot to give God a bad name. She is probably just the person to give it a shot.

I don’t know how terrible a person Omarosa was on the Apprentice since I never watched it but I do believe Jesus once said, “let him who is without sin cast the first stone.” Why are we so hard on people when they make mistakes? I know at times my son wants to “stone” me but I am work in progress. Let’s give Omarosa the benefit of the doubt and allow God to make her over like I know He alone can.

First of all, to a previous comment. If you think you go in to ministry for a “fat paycheck”, you need a reality check. I am curious that she’s going to be getting a D.Min. I have always understood that you got an Master of Divinity before you could get a Doctor of Ministry degree. What gives, United?

These people who don’t believe Omarosa could legitimately become a vocational servant of God are vastly ignorant of history. Here’s what some notable “preachers” were before they followed God’s call: Saul of Tarsus (later known as Paul or St. Paul: executor of Chrisitans. Augustine of Hippo: Pagan, Manichean and father of an illegitimate child. John Calvin: a humanist lawyer. John Newton (Abolitionist and writer of Amazing Grace): Slave ship captain. John Bunyan: Bunyan describes himself in his book “Grace Abounding” as having led an abandoned life in his youth, and as having been morally reprehensible as a result. John Wesley: The early biographer Tyerman said that the boy went to Charterhouse a saint but became negligent of his religious duties and left a sinner. D.L. Moody: “I have seen few persons whose minds were spiritually darker than was his when he came into my Sunday School class” — Edward Kimball
