Kentucky guard officially signs with WSU

Vance Hall, who had become coach Billy Donlon’s first commitment last week, has officially signed his national letter of intent, the school announced Friday, May 7.

Hall is a 6-foot-4 guard from Franklin County High School in Frankfort, Ky. He won numerous honors after averaging 24.5 points, 8.1 rebounds and 4.5 assists as a senior, including state Regional 11 MVP, MVP of the state’s East-West All-Star game and Kentucky’s MVP in the Ohio-Kentucky All-Star Basketball Game.

The recruiting class inherited by Donlon when he was promoted last month to replace Brad Brownell now numbers five, including A.J. Pacher (6-9 forward, Vandalia Butler High School), Matt Vest (6-4 guard, Chaminade Julienne), Kegan Clark (6-4 guard, Jeffersonville, Ind.) and Cole Darling (6-7 forward, Holt, Mich.).

Vest is scheduled to walk on to the team next season and received a scholarship beginning in 2011-12. The Raiders also lost a recruit when guard Cory Stanton of Springfield (Tenn.) High School chose to follow Brownell to Clemson.
