WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — The Air Force has awarded a $27.9 million contract to L-3 Communications Corp. for data link communications work to support surveillance and sensor device research and demonstration programs.
The Air Force Research Laboratory contract authorizes the Salt Lake City, Utah, company to develop, build, install and test data link communications networks.
In addition, the Aeronautical Systems Center awarded a contract worth up to $7.5 million to Maximus Interiors, of Cincinnati, to replace, install or repair various types of floor coverings in buildings at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The work could include removal of asbestos-containing floor tiles, the Air Force said.
