Bon-Ton Stores said Monday, Oct. 26, it expects its third quarter and full-year results to hit the high side of previous earnings forecasts.
The York, Pa.-based retailer in a news release said it based its outlook on “favorable trends” in sales for October and the third quarter. Bon-Ton operates in the Dayton area under the Elder-Beerman Stores Corp. nameplate.
In August, Bon-Ton forecast that for the full year it could lose between $2.50 and $3.70 per share.
The company said it will announce third-quarter earnings on Nov. 19.
As of 10:32 a.m. Tuesday, shares of Bon-Ton were trading at $9.05, down from the previous day’s close of $9.10.
Bon-Ton operates 279 stores in 23 states under the Bon-Ton, Bergner’s, Boston Store, Carson Pirie Scott, Elder-Beerman, Harberger’s, Younkers and Parisian nameplates.
