SIDNEY — Small companies interested in doing business with the federal government, and located in areas designated as historically underused business zones, are invited to a training session on Feb. 22.
The Southwest Central Ohio Procurement Technical Assistance Center, a government-funded organization that helps businesses pursue government work, is hosting the breakfast meeting from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at Fifth Third Bank, 101 S. Ohio Ave.
The historically underutilized business zone (HUBZone) program is used to give small businesses in urban and rural areas preference in government procurement. The Feb. 22 meeting will offer information about the program and how companies can qualify for it.
Pre-registration for the meeting is required. Registration will close at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17. There is a $10 registration fee.
For more information, call (888) 553-6832, ext. 238, or (937) 253-0038. To register, go online to www.swcoptac.org/events.htm.
