CENTERVILLE — The Ohio Pain Clinic has begun offering an online physical therapy program free to its patients, according to a company press release.

The therapy includes videos and animations designed to teach various therapy exercises, allowing patients to learn and undertake physical therapy in their own homes.

The Ohio Pain Clinic, founded in 2007, is owned by Dr. Amol Soin. Soin claims the online physical therapy program is the first such application in the Dayton area.

Ohio Pain Clinic has offices at 8934 Kingsridge Drive in Centerville; on Kemp Road in Beavercreek; and on Fairway Drive in Wilmington.

Great Idea. Sounds like they are really trying to help. Nice that it is free. I agree you have to be cautious but actually this seems like it is safer than trying to exercise yourself at home where you can really hurt yourself if you do not know what you are doing. It sounds like they are really trying to promote a healthier lifestyle.

"D's" socialist leanings are obvious...obviously, you have to be a patient of this facility. Do you think they're handing out advice just for the heck of it??

Technically it is not free. It says it is free to patients of the Ohio Pain Clinic, which means that the initial visit and consultation had to be paid for at one point in time. If you are not a patient of the clinic, I doubt you have access to the videos. While this seems like a good idea, I do urge caution. Doing any exercise without knowing/using the proper technique can cause further damage if the proper technique isn't used.

interesting comments and news. actually i went through physical therapy and had to copay $400 per session all for stuff i could have done at home. this is nice idea. the therapists just made crass jokes with each other and were young and immature. now that's a crock!

I just noticed that the service is FREE!! This is great. How can you call this a crock? It is like complaining about someone buying you a christmas present... which I guess is something a 12 year old would do. I think the fact that this organization is offering a FREE service to try to HELP people is great! Keep it going!!!
