A Chinese bank, the Industrial Bank Co., Ltd., has chosen the “Teradata Relationship Manager” software portfolio, Teradata said Wednesday, March 3.

The software is meant to help businesses identify customers who may be ready to purchase a financial service or product, Teradata said.

The bank has opened 41 branches and more than 470 sub-branches in cities with more than 10 million retail banking customers, said Teradata. In a pilot project with Teradata software, one branch saw new deposits of about RMB 430 million ($62.9 million U.S.) and generated new loans of nearly RMB 480 million, ($70.2 million U.S.).

Teradata has about 400 employees in Miami Twp., where the company is based.
