Cincy pet food business to deliver in Dayton

Business promises fresh food

A Cincinnati pet foods business is reaching into the Dayton area.

A company that got its start in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood in Cincinnati says it will start offering delivery of Ohio-produced pet food to Dayton-area homes through a local branch — Pet Wants Dayton.

The food the business offers “starts out being slow-cooked with small-batch production methods in order to lock in the nutrients every pet needs,” a release from the company says. “The product is shipped fresh to Dayton monthly, and then delivered right to your door.”

Pet Wants Dayton is an extension of Pet Wants Co., founded in Cincinnati in 2010. The business has locations at Findlay Market and on Vine Street in the Queen City.

The company has been assisted by Franchise Funding Group, an investment and franchise-development company, the business says.

“We’re eager to bring such a rapidly growing brand to greater Dayton,” one of the locally involved principals, Stewart Meeker, said in the company’s release.

Pet Wants Dayton operates as a mobile-only business, reachable through its web site, although it promises to have a presence at “various markets and events in greater Dayton.” Its local phone number is (937) 813-7591.

Free delivery is available in Beavercreek, Bellbrook, Cedarville, Centerville, downtown Dayton, Fairborn, Huber Heights, Kettering, Miamisburg, Moraine, Oakwood, Springfield, Troy, West Carrollton, Xenia, Yellow Springs and other areas.
