KETTERING — Composite Technical Services Inc. has established a manufacturing and research and development site at the National Composite Center, CTS announced recently.
Focused on the composites and plastics industries, CTS provides composite materials that include bio-resins and flame-retardant additives. The company also offers composite cylinders for storage of gas.
“CTS is working to develop new products and processes that support green technologies from hydrogen and natural gas fueled vehicles and heavy-metal-free flame retardants,” the company said in an announcement.
“We selected Dayton, Ohio and NCC (the National Composite Center) because of the advantages the region and Center offer,” Enrico Ferri, CTS chief executive, said. “Dayton provides easy access to major transportation routes and allows CTS to be strategically positioned near Wright-Patterson (Air Force Base), defense facilities, universities.”
