Dayton-area real estate firm merger

Waynesville real estate firm E.A. Florence Realty has merged with Irongate Inc. Realtors, one of the Dayton area’s largest real estate firms, the companies announced Friday.

Tom Florence founded the Warren County firm in 1954. The former Florence Realtors will now work out of the nearby Irongate office at 305 E. Central Ave. in Springboro, and maintain the former Main Street site in downtown Waynesville as a private real estate office, according to the companies’ announcement.

“After running the family owned firm for so many years, I decided it was time to affiliate with the premier local real estate firm in the Greater Dayton area, Irongate Inc. Realtors. In so doing, our agents are now able to provide buyers and sellers with the many valuable tools and technologies that will help my clients achieve their real estate goals, while being able to maintain our high level of service and a local touch,” said Eric Florence, son of E.A. Florence founder Tom Florence, in a statement.

Irongate, founded in 1975, has about 285 local real estate agents, in six offices located in Beavercreek, Englewood, Centerville, Kettering, Springboro and Washington Twp.

The merger was effective July 1.
