BEAVERCREEK — Defense contractor Intelligent Decisions Inc. has had a brisk response from job seekers and companies seeking to team with it to compete for work serving agencies at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, a company executive said Tuesday.
Intelligent Decisions expects a busy day Thursday at an all-day job fair to begin hiring the 50 to 100 people it expects to employ this year, said Clarence Pape, its vice president of professional services for Defense Department customers. The event is scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn, 3520 Pentagon Park Blvd., Beavercreek.
The company is simultaneously hosting an open house at the event.
Intelligent Decisions is among 19 prime contractors authorized to compete for projects that the Air Force will offer through a series of task orders under a contract potentially worth up to $950 million over its five-year life.
Customers include the Air Force Materiel Command, Aeronautical Systems Center, Air Force Research Laboratory, Air Force Institute of Technology, National Air and Space Intelligence Center and the planned Air Force Global Logistics Support Center to be created this year as part of the AFMC’s restructuring.
Intelligent Decisions plans to provide services including testing and evaluation, information systems support, engineering for aeronautical and weapons systems, logistics, acquisition support and litigation support. Job skills in demand include program managers, contract specialists, program analysts, technical support, software and hardware engineers.
Intelligent Decisions is looking for local hires including people with experience from prior contractors handling the work, Pape said.
