Dorothy Lane Market launches new ordering app

Dorothy Lane Market is launching its new ordering app for pizza.

The app, which is available on iPhone and Android devices, is available via the app store and offers an easy way for customers to place an order for dine-in or carry-out from the DLM’s Naples-Style Pizza Station. The station is currently located at the Washington Square and Springboro store locations only.

The app allows users to choose from menu items including favorites like the Carnivore, Tourist Pepperoni and the Naples-Style Margherita. App users can also customize ingredients.

“In the coming months, we hope to add to the app’s functionality with updates that’ll also allow users to place orders for Jack’s Grill and the Sandwich Station,” said Hang Chem, DLM lead developer.

The app is another step to help Dorothy Lane stay competitive in the changing grocery store industry. Local grocery stores and chains like Kroger and Meijer have been adding new features to ensure convenience for customers.

Kroger has expanded its ClickList curbside pick-up services to most locations in the region, while Meijer launched its home delivery services in Cincinnati and Dayton in April.

ALDI has also added locations in the region, including a store that opened in Beavercreek in November 2016. German grocery chain Lidl will also build its first location in the region in Beavercreek near the ALDI store. The changes come as Amazon’s purchase of Whole Foods Market adds competition in the industry.
