CENTERVILLE — Earth Fare, “the healthy supermarket” that will open at Cross Pointe Centre on Oct. 20, has announced that it will hold a job fair from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 12-14.

The job fair will be at the Doubletree Guest Suites, 300 Prestige Place in Miamisburg, near the Dayton Mall. Kristi Kanzig, assistant marketing director for Earth Fare, said the site plans to hire between 80 and 100 people for various full- and part-time positions.

“We’ve already hired the manager, but will be looking for meat-cutters, front end (customer service), pizza station, (etc.),” she said. “We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly individuals.”

Kanzig said that customer service is a top priority at Earth Fare, which is based in North Carolina and has close to two dozen locations nationwide.

She said the store’s management will be at the fair, allowing applicants to meet with their potential boss.

“We’re a big family,” she said, adding that she has been impressed with Dayton. “I’ve only been there a few times, but every time people have been very nice.”

Earth Fare will occupy the former Stitching Post location in Cross Pointe, at 101 E. Alex-Bell Road, Suite 176.

The grocery store specializes in natural and organic foods, and does not sell items that contain trans fat, high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors or sweeteners, antibiotics or animal by products in pet foods.
