Woolpert lands part of $40 million Special Operations contract

Woolpert Inc. will share in a $40 million, five-year deal to provide architectural and engineering services and environmental planning at Air Force Special Operations Command locations.

“It’s continuing a long relationship that we have with Air Force Special Operations Command,” David Rickard, Woolpert senior vice president and military program director, said in an interview with this news outlet. “We’ve been working with them for about 25 years now at all of their installations.”

The value of the deal will depend on how much work Woolpert is selected to complete. The company was one of three firms chosen for the contract, officials said.

Among other locations around the world, work was expected at Hurlburt Field, Fla.; Cannon Air Force Base, N.M.; and installations in England and Japan, he said.
