Former Dayton airport official is new Florida airport boss

LAKELAND, Fla. — A former Dayton International Airport official has been hired as director of the airport that serves Lakeland, Fla.

The city of Lakeland has hired Eugene Conrad III as director of Lakeland Linder Regional Airport. He starts in the Florida job on Jan. 18, 2010, at an annual salary of $102,000. In his most recent job, Conrad was deputy director of marketing and air service development for the privately owned airport that began operation in May 2009 serving Branson, Mo.

Prior to that, Conrad was air service coordinator and marketing manager for Dayton International and Dayton-Wright Brothers Airport. His father, the late Blair Conrad, was a former director of Dayton International Airport.
