Grandview Medical Center leader to retire April 30

Russ Wetherell, president of Grandview Medical Center, will retire at the end of this month, according to the hospital’s parent, Dayton-based Kettering Health Network.

Wetherell, a 21-year veteran at Kettering, will be replaced by Rebecca Lewis, president of Southview Medical Center, which is part of the Grandview Medical Center System.

Wetherell was Southview’s president before he was named president of Grandview in 2014. Wetherell also has served as chief financial officer for the Kettering network and Grandview.

“I am grateful for the leadership Russ has given to the network and our community,” Kettering CEO Fred Manchur said in a statement. “Russ has been a great mentor and leaves strong leaders at Grandview and Southview. We thank him for his many years of service.”

Before joining the Kettering network in 2009, Lewis was CEO of Knox County Hospital in Kentucky.
