MADISON, Wis. — Great Wolf Resorts Inc. which operates a water park resort in Mason, on Wednesday reported a $14 million net loss for the quarter ended Dec. 31, an improvement from the $29 million net loss from a year ago.
The improvement stemmed from higher overall revenues, better expense management and the net effect of a non-cash impairment charge recorded in fourth-quarter 2010, the company said.
Total revenues increased 4.7 percent to $65.5 in the fourth quarter of 2010, due primarily to increased demand at the company’s resorts.
Great Wolf is projecting a net loss for 2012 of $12.7 million.
