DAYTON — Marty Larson has been named executive director of the Greater Dayton Health Information Network, according to a Thursday, Sept. 2, news release.
As the head of GDHIN, housed within the Greater Dayton Area Hospital Association, Larson will be responsible for coordinating the region’s health information technology efforts. He’ll work with representatives of local hospitals and the physician community to deploy health information technology so as to connect providers, physicians and the public.
GDHIN is responsible for implementing electronic health records in Montgomery, Preble, Miami, Darke, Shelby, Auglaize, Mercer and Allen counties.
Larson previously played a role in developing the Collaborating Communities Health Information Exchange in Springfield. He served as a founding member of the CCHIE board and treasurer, and will continue to lead the organization as executive director for the foreseeable future. He also has served as interim chief information officer with Community Mercy Health Care Partners.
