JOB LOSS: Huber Heights manufacturer to shut down Ohio facility

A Huber Heights-based company will permanently close one of its facilities in the Cleveland area, resulting in the termination of 28 employees.

Enginetics Corp., owned by Standex International Corporation and based at 770 New Carlisle Pike in Huber Heights, sent a warning notice to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services regarding the location closure. The company facility at 34000 Melinz Parkway in Eastlake will close by July 7, according to the letter.

The company said the closure is due to the “strategic consolidation of our manufacturing footprint.”

Approximately 28 employees will lose their jobs between April 23 and the closing date of the facility. All impacted employees have been provided, or will be soon, with notice of their termination. There are no unions represented at Enginetics.
