Local manufacturer to lay off ‘at least’ 49

A regional auto parts manufacturer is laying off some 50 or more people.

ConForm Automotive in Sidney will lay off “at least” 49 people from its 1630 Ferguson Court facility effective June 30, the company said in a recent letter to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

“It is expected these actions will be permanent,” said the letter signed by Jessica Palladino, identified as the company’s human resources director.
