New Frisch's planned for Beavercreek

BEAVERCREEK — A new restaurant is planned for a plot of land near North Fairfield Road and Beaver Vu Drive that city officials have hoped to see redeveloped for some time.

Plans for a Frisch’s restaurant on three parcels for a total site of more than three acres are working their way through the city’s approval process.

The nearly 5,000-square-foot restaurant was recommended for approval by the city planning department with 27 conditions, including landscaping, traffic flow and design limitations, according to city records. The site is across from a planned traffic light at Beaver Vu and North Fairfield that will be installed in 2012, said Jeffrey McGrath, planning director. City council and staff are working with the developer to solve some traffic flow issues.

Frisch’s will be built where three “eyesores” now sit, McGrath said.

“It’s property we hoped to see developed after the interchange project was completed; it just took longer than we thought,” he said.

(All About Change) Maybe they SHOULD build a walmart on the west side, so you`ll all leave the one in Kettering alone. I think Moraine`s take on the whole thing should include the impact of the closing of the walmart near the former Salem Mall.. Ever since that walmart closed the crime rate at the Dorothy lane Walmart has really shot up. Does anyone else see a parallel here.. Need i say more. Enough said i suppose!

I just hope the exterior design is appealing - I hate when chains build the most basic and bland designs.
I'm dissapointed it's another fast food greasy joint though. We are in Ohio; I guess it's required.

This new development is beside my business location and fill a void in the area and give consumers one choice in eating including myself.Once it's all done it will look nice and having that light will help all businesses frustrated on getting out on Fairfield during busy times.

The Wellington is pretty good and locally owned, so that would be a good choice. My only issue is the last two times I was there, the server had no clue about the wine list and was unable to get straight answers from the kitchen regarding a fellow guest with food allergies.

Both of these should be simple matters for a restaurant to solve.

Vegas - go to the Wellington Grille on Dayton-Xenia near Factory Road. Very nice, local restaurant. Not as high end as Flemings but entrees run $15 - $25.
