BEAVERCREEK — A new restaurant is planned for a plot of land near North Fairfield Road and Beaver Vu Drive that city officials have hoped to see redeveloped for some time.

Plans for a Frisch’s restaurant on three parcels for a total site of more than three acres are working their way through the city’s approval process.

The nearly 5,000-square-foot restaurant was recommended for approval by the city planning department with 27 conditions, including landscaping, traffic flow and design limitations, according to city records. The site is across from a planned traffic light at Beaver Vu and North Fairfield that will be installed in 2012, said Jeffrey McGrath, planning director. City council and staff are working with the developer to solve some traffic flow issues.

Frisch’s will be built where three “eyesores” now sit, McGrath said.

“It’s property we hoped to see developed after the interchange project was completed; it just took longer than we thought,” he said.
