“We’re looking to open around the second week of October,” Glass said.
The menu will focus on home-style food, with fish and chicken dishes that can be ordered grilled or fried, Glass said. Salads, desserts such as a signature banana pudding, and a children’s menu also will be available.
Tucker has always wanted to open his own restaurant, “and we’re finally able to make it happen,” Glass said.
Plans call for keeping Uncle Sunny’s doors open 24 hours a day. “Xenia has lots of restaurants, but none that stay open overnight,” Glass said. “And we like to feed people. It warms our hearts.”
The location formerly housed Soular Flare restaurant.
