Columbus-based real estate brokerage Real Living has merged with GMAC Real Estate, an Oak Brook, Ill.-based brokerage, the companies have announced.

The move will help Real Living, which has operations in the Dayton area, reach its goal of growing its operations both in the United States and internationally, said Harley Rouda Jr., president of the new entity. The two companies say that combined they will handle about $20 billion in annual home sales.

The merger came about when Brookfield Residential Property Services, which already owned GMAC Real Estate, acquired Real Living Network Services, a subsidiary of Real Living Inc., earlier this month, according to a news release.
