Rumbleseat Wine buys A Taste of Wine shop in Miamisburg

The owners of Rumbleseat Wine in Washington Twp. have purchased A Taste of Wine wine bar and retail shop in downtown Miamisburg and will operate it as a second location, owners of both wine shops said today.

“Rumbleseat is a thriving business, and A Taste of Wine will be icing on the cake,” said Urmila Ramnath-Holloway, co-owner with her husband Chris Holloway of Rumbleseat Wine. “Our customers would tell us they felt like they were cheating on us when they went down to Taste of Wine, but now they can embrace it instead of feeling guilty.”

The wine shop at 90 S. Main St. in Miamisburg has operated for nearly eight years under founders Bonnie Nolan and Kim Broomhall. Ramnath-Holloway said she plans on keeping the Taste of Wine name for now and will boost wine-education events, including some geared toward women.

Broomhall said today that she and Nolan felt it was the right time to sell the store and are “looking forward to our retirement and having the opportunity to spend time with our families.

“We came into Miamisburg to start a business in a location we thought would be great, and it was. The business has been successful for us for nearly eight full years . We had great staff, great customers and a great location.”

The Holloways, Broomhall said, “know the business and are successful with their store. We felt it would be a good fit.”

Rumbleseat Wine opened five years ago at 5853 Far Hills Ave. (Ohio 48), and the Holloways have owned it for four years.
