HUBER HEIGHTS – A Sears Outlet store is scheduled to open in mid-March at 8284 Old Troy Pike and is currently hiring associates, according to a spokeswoman for Hoffman Estates, Ill.-based Sears Holding Corp.

Kim Freely said the 30,000-square-foot outlet will employ about 20 workers. Job listings are posted at the company website, www.searsholdings/careers.

Sears Outlet stores carry discounted appliances, tools, fitness equipment, mattresses and lawn and garden items, according to Freely, that are either new, reconditioned, discontinued, scratched or dented or custom-order returns.

The Huber Heights location will be the eighth Sears Outlet store in Ohio. There are more than 120 stores nationwide.

A tentative grand opening for the Huber Heights store is set for the first week in April.
