STAN Solutions and Israel-based Adaptive Imaging Technologies, Inc. have entered into a joint agreement, Montgomery County government said today, Aug. 24.
STAN Solutions — a visual and sensing technology provider based on Monument Avenue — has entered into a joint agreement to acquire the exclusive, North American distribution rights for a camera produced by Adaptive Imaging Technologies, the county said.
The camera uses technology to observe and monitor areas up to six miles away, the county said.
“STAN Solutions is partnering with the University of Dayton’s Institute for the Development and Commercialization of Advanced Sensor Technology (IDCAST) to expand the camera’s capabilities with additional sensors,” STAN Solutions President, Tony Manuel, said in an announcement from the county.
In work for the U.S. military, STAN Solutions already has employed in the Iraq war devices that capture in “real time” video feeds from 250 miles and beyond. These devices capture live video, photographs, maps and more that give battlefield commanders information when they need it, company leaders have said.
Based in the Entrepreneurs Center, STAN Solutions — named after Stanley Harriman, a Special Forces officer who died in Afghanistan in 2002 — has about 30 employees in Dayton.
