DAYTON — Tech Town, the Dayton site earmarked as home for technology companies, is marking the development of its third building.
Officials staged a ceremony Monday morning to celebrate the start of construction of the building at 241 Taylor St., on Tech Town’s land near the Mad River. The 62,000-square-foot office building is to be completed in the summer of 2011.
If the complete vision for Tech Town becomes reality, it could eventually be home to at least a dozen addition buildings. Already in use are the Entrepreneur Center and the Creative Technology Accelerator buildings.
Efforts to establish a state-designated aerospace hub in Dayton are focusing, in part, on attracting additional aerospace and high-performance materials companies to Tech Town, located within the hub.
