3. AMAZON CHOOSES MONROE
Amazon confirmed Monday its plans to open a fourth Ohio fulfillment center that will create more than 1,000 full-time jobs in Monroe. The one-million-square foot facility near Interstate 75 will house employees who will pick, pack and ship larger customer orders. A specific location for the facility has not been officially announced. 4. BEAVERCREEK DEFENSE CONTRACTOR TO HIRE
Defense contractor Orbital ATK plans a $5 million expansion and will add nearly 60 jobs at its Beavercreek operations, the company said Tuesday. The 175,000-square-foot facility, which is reportedly involved in classified work on the next generation B-21 Raider stealth bomber, expects to expand operations by 40,000 square feet. 5. DP&L TO 300 UNION MEMBERS; YOU HAVE A NEW EMPLOYER
Dayton Power & Light has sent out about 300 letters to union-represented power plant employees informing them that they will no longer be DP&L employees as of Oct. 1.
