DAYTON — Joseph Guy has been named chief executive for Flyer Enterprises, a student-run business at the University of Dayton, effective March 22.
A Dayton native, Guy will lead an enterprise that includes eight divisions, employs more than 150 and boasts $1.4 million in revenue, a news release states. He will succeed Jessi Neff, the organization’s current CEO.
Guy, who operated his own cleaning company in high school, said Flyer Enteprises factored heavily into his decision to attend UD, where he is pursuing a double major in international business and operations management.
Flyer Enterprises operates a convenience store, coffee shops, two snack bars, a cafe, catering services and a retail outlet. Its staff consists entirely of undergraduate students, the organization said. A faculty advisor and a board of directors also have some involvement in the enterprise.
