Woolpert awarded $32M federal contract

Beavercreek-based engineering and design services firm Woolpert Inc. will provide the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency with commercial airborne services, according to a media release.

The three-year contract has an estimated total value of $32 million, company officials said.

The contract calls for Woolpert to provide commercial airborne services for data collection, rapid response, and worldwide requirements using light detection and ranging (LIDAR), four band and radar sensors.

Officials said the imagery and data provided will be used for a variety of applications, from base maps for planning purposes, to providing a common operating picture during crises.

Founded in 1911, Woolpert is a design, geospatial and infrastructure consulting firm. Woolpert has more than 600 employees at 22 U.S. offices, including more than 175 at its Beavercreek headquarters.
