Dragons score one run, and it’s enough

CLINTON, Iowa — The Dayton Dragons manufactured a run in the sixth inning, and it held up for a 1-0 Midwest League win over the Clinton LumberKings on Thursday, July 9.

Curtis Partch (six innings), Junior Martinez and Aguido Gonzalez held Clinton to six hits. Partch improved his record to 5-7 and Gonzalez worked the final two innings for his 10th save.

The game’s only run scored when Andrew Means singled, went to second on a wild pitch, to third on a groundout and came home on a wild pitch by Jose Jimenez.
