Springboro senior Ryan Coates has signed to play soccer at Evansville. A three-year starter, he helped the Panthers win the GWOC South title last season.
Also a team captain, Coates was voted the team’s MVP and was All-GWOC first team, All-Miami Valley first team and All-Ohio second team as a senior.
He currently plays club soccer for the Blast FC in Columbus. He played youth soccer for six years with the Northern Warren County Soccer Club.
Shaver to Lynn: Centerville senior goalkeeper Caitlin Shaver has signed to play soccer at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla. A three-year regular, she helped the Elks advance to the Division I state semifinals as a sophomore and senior. She also excels for the Ohio Galaxies Futbol Club.
The Fighting Knights are an NCAA Division II program and members of the Sunshine State Conference. Lynn has won five national titles and was 11-7-1 last season, advancing to the NCAA tournament Round of 16.
Michael to St. Bonaventure: Chaminade Julienne guard Emily Michael has committed to play basketball at St. Bonaventure. A four-year starter, the 5-8 senior is averaging 9.6 points for the Eagles (18-2). A great outside shooter, she has made 40 of 98 3-pointers (41 percent).
Senior teammate Raytea Long, a 6-foot center, has already signed with Vanderbilt.
Poland to Ashland: Milton-Union senior tackle Jordan Poland has signed to play football at Ashland. The 6-6, 262-pound offensive tackle was first team All-SWBL Buckeye last season.
The Eagles are in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and are NCAA Division II.
