(2) Cin. Winton Woods (10-2) vs. (4) Trotwood-Madison (9-3)

Division II, Region 8

When: 7:30 p.m. today

Where: Mason Dwire Field at Atrium Stadium

Notable: This is a matchup of three talented rushers. Trotwood’s Antwan Gilbert has rushed for 2,538 yards and 32 TDs. Winton Woods arrives with a pair of rushing threats in Jeremiah Goins (1,599 yards, 20 TDs) and UC-bound Dominique Brown (1,399, 19 TDs). Many feel this is a true regional championship, even though the game doesn’t have the top two seeds, as both have rolled into the regional final. Trotwood has beaten Mount Healthy and top-seeded Turpin by a combined score of 84-13. Winton Woods has beaten Ross and Tecumseh by a combined score of 99-14.

(2) Cin. Wyoming (12-0) vs. (8) Shawnee (9-3)

Division III, Region 12

When: 7:30 p.m. today

Where: Welcome Stadium

Notable: Wyoming’s powerful offense produced its lowest point total of the season in a 14-7 defeat of Monroe last weekend. In doing so, the team set a school record with its 12th win. QB Kyle Seyfried, the Southwest District offensive player of the year, passed for a 56-yard TD for the winning score. Wyoming also boasts the Southwest District defensive player of the year, lineman Jibreel Black. Shawnee, behind district coach of the year Rick Meeks, has advanced as the No. 8 seed by beating top-seed Goshen 28-7 and No. 4 seed Circleville Logan Elm 21-14.

(2) Alter (12-0) vs. (1) Clinton-Massie (12-0)

Division IV, Region 16

When: 7 p.m. Saturday

Where: Centerville Stadium

Notable: Alter’s defense has recorded three straight shutouts, including defeats of Jonathan Alder and Carlisle in the playoffs. The defending state champion and top-ranked Knights have also received steady QB play from junior Zane Pitzer, who led them on scoring drives on three of their first four possessions last weekend vs. Carlisle before coach Ed Domsitz inserted safety Cody Byers to work on the passing game. C-M boasts a steady ground attack led by RB Jordan Scanlon, who rushed for 126 yards in the postseason opener vs. Waynesville and 191 last weekend against Kenton.

(2) Coldwater (11-1) vs. (8) St. Henry (9-3)

Division V, Region 20

When: 7:30 p.m. today

Where: Wapakoneta Harmon Field

Notable: Coldwater defeated St. Henry 17-0 in a MAC regular-season matchup. The Cavaliers had to beat another MAC team, Anna, last weekend to reach the title game, and they did it with a halfback pass to QB Keith Wenning in OT to win 28-21. St. Henry has used the experience of that difficult MAC schedule to advance to the regional title as the No. 8 seed after beating consecutive undefeated teams in top-seeded Richwood North Union (28-3) and West Liberty-Salem (42-14).

(7) Fort Loramie (10-2) vs. (5) Marion Local (7-5)

Division VI, Region 24

When: 7 p.m. Saturday

Where: Wapakoneta Harmon Field

Notable: Fort Loramie has advanced to the regional title game in its first playoff appearance during its fifth season as a program. RB Mitch Raterman is a threat all over the field for the Redskins, as he also plays defense and punts. Marion Local entered the postseason with a .500 record after a midseason five-game losing streak. Since, Marion Local has beaten Lehman Catholic 24-3 and Covington 21-17 last weekend. RB Niles Keller rushed for 118 yards and two scores vs. Covington.
