DIVISION I

1. Northmont (10-2 last season): All the T-Bolts did last season was sweep through the GWOC Central in their first season after moving over from the North division.

2. Centerville (7-4): Rebounded from an OT loss to Northmont by taking out playoff teams Wayne and Fairmont to end the regular season.

3. Wayne (8-4): If only QB Braxton Miller hadn’t been sidelined for much of the second half of the season with a broken ankle.

4. Fairmont (7-4): Beat Wayne, snapped Beavercreek’s 5-0 run and defeated Division IV state-champ Alter (by forfeit).

5. Springboro (7-3): The best of the GWOC South, although Lebanon and Xenia might think otherwise.

DIVISION II

1. Tecumseh (11-1): Arrows part of the CBC’s “Big Three.”

2. Greenville (7-3): Green Wave put it all together after several lean seasons; now if they could only land in a league.

3. Piqua (6-4): Indians produced some great wins and stunning losses.

4. Carroll (5-5): A great 8-year run leveled off for Patriots in rare nonplayoff season.

5. Trotwood-Madison (4-6): Rams finished 4-1 after opening season 0-5.

DIVISION III

1. Tippecanoe (9-2): Another cog in the Red Devils’ tremendous fall sports seasons.

2. Urbana (9-1): Something’s wrong when the Hillclimbers miss the playoffs with that record.

3. Dunbar (8-3): Wolverines might become a major player after moving down from D-II.

4. Oakwood (8-4): Goodbye D-IV, at least for the next two seasons.

5. Chaminade Julienne (6-4): It’s not the Eagles’ glory years anymore, but well worth tracking.

DIVISION IV

1. Alter (13-2): State’s best team last season, regardless of division.

2. Clinton-Massie (10-1): Falcons are 10-0, 9-1, 9-1, 8-2, 8-2, 10-0 and 9-1 in their last seven regular seasons.

3. Brookville (10-1): Blue Devils returned to its former glory last season.

4. Valley View (7-4): What’s a few boys here and there? Enough to drop the Spartans from D-III.

5. Waynesville (9-3): It’s official, Spartans have recovered from several lean seasons.

DIVISION V

1. Coldwater (12-1): Too bad
we won’t get another epic Cavs-Alter showdown, at least for two more years.

2. Anna (9-2): The emerging power in the MAC.

3. Miami East (9-2): Good to see the Vikings match their boys hoop success.

4. West Liberty-Salem (9-2): Sting of losing final two games fresh on the Tigers’ minds.

5. St. Henry (6-4): Hard to count the Redskins out, no matter how tough the MAC might be.

DIVISION VI

1. Marion Local (11-3): Flyers went 1-1 in their D-V stint, winning one state title.

2. Lehman Catholic (11-2): All that’s missing from the Cavaliers’ good fortune is a spot in any league.

3. Covington (9-3): Buccaneers football just keeps on churning out winners.

4. Spg. Catholic Central (8-4): As long as there’s a DeWitt at the helm, Irish football is good as ever.

5. Ansonia (7-4): Enjoyed a breakthrough season in the CCC.
